Events Specialist – Whole School

The British International School of Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking a highly organised and exceptional communicator to fill the pivotal and strategic role of Events Specialist. This position is responsible for leading the planning, coordination and successful execution of all school-related events, both on and off campus. This role is central to reinforcing BISJ’s identity and aligning with our mission and strategic objectives through a wide range of high-impact activities for students, parents and the broader Jeddah community. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously to deliver seamless and memorable events that strengthen community engagement and enhance the school’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Events Calendar Management: Develop and oversee the comprehensive annual events calendar, ensuring proactive planning, resource allocation and alignment with leadership objectives.
• Full-Cycle Planning & Execution: Manage the entire lifecycle of diverse events—from concept development and scheduling (e.g. student performances, graduations) to vendor coordination and post-event evaluation.
• Stakeholder & Partnership Coordination: Act as the central communication hub, collaborating with internal staff and coordinating with external vendors, guest speakers and local partners to forge events and sponsorship opportunities.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage detailed event budgets, track all expenses and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote events across digital platforms and print materials, ensuring consistent brand messaging.

Requirements:
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in full-cycle event coordination or planning.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills; highly organised and detail-oriented, with the proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English required (Arabic is desirable).
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in event software/tools and Microsoft Office; familiarity with digital marketing tools is a plus.
• Working Hours: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required to accommodate event schedules.
• Preferred: Experience working within an educational or corporate business environment, especially within a diverse, multicultural context.

Social Media and Digital Content Creator – Whole School

The British International School of Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media & Digital Content Creator to significantly enhance our online presence and engagement. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing, creating and managing content across all digital platforms—including social media and the school website—to increase the school’s digital footprint. The ideal candidate will drive engagement with prospective and current students, parents and the broader community, directly supporting our marketing and communications strategy. Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Content Management: Develop, create and schedule all digital content across social media and the school website, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
• Video Production: Plan, shoot and edit high-quality video content to capture school events and create visually engaging stories.
• Digital Platform Oversight: Manage the comprehensive monthly content calendar and oversee website updates, including SEO optimisation.
• Community & Data: Actively engage with the online community and utilise data analytics to track performance, inform strategy and prepare reports.

Requirements:
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field, with a minimum of 1–3 years of experience in social media management, content creation or digital marketing.
• Platform Proficiency: Strong understanding of all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) and their best practices for engagement and growth.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer), website Content Management Systems (CMS) and basic SEO principles.
• Production Expertise: Proven experience in video production and editing for digital content, using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar.
• Key Attributes: Strong creative thinking, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Preferred: Prior experience in an educational or corporate setting is a plus.
